Flags Lowered Flags at all DSB1 schools and locations have been lowered to honour the memory of the individuals lost in the recent tragedy in Tumbler Ridge, BC. We stand in solidarity with the community and offer our heartfelt support to everyone affected by this loss.

Some Routes Resuming in Timmins January 15 - Some bus routes are resuming in Timmins. Click the title to view a complete list of routes that continue to be affected. Bus operators continue to check if routes are passable for school buses each day. The Transportation Consortium is working closely with the City of Timmins to identify priority areas for snow removal to allow more bus routes to run.Our schools remain open and meaningful learning continues!
The DSB1 Grade 6 Volleyball Tournament was held this week at Roland Michener School. The event focused on learning and participation, with students displaying strong sportsmanship and perseverance. It was an excellent opportunity to see developing athletes from across the district. The tournament also featured a welcome contribution from past students who volunteered as referees.
