Throughout District School Board Ontario North East, students and staff participated in Bell Let’s Talk Day. Highlighted below are just a few examples of the variety of engaging and dynamic learning and activities that were undertaken to help create positive change and support mental well-being.
In one example, students shared positive messages illustrating that mental health matters. In another example, students participated in a presentation about stigma and played Coping Skills BINGO, which emphasized how to implement daily coping habits to help support their mental health. An additional example highlighted the launch of school-wide Kindness Challenges. Through these challenges, students receive a paper heart for placing on a Kindness board after demonstrating a caring and compassionate attitude or action.
At DSB1, we are committed to supporting the mental health and well-being of our students, families, and staff.
